To all Suppliers and Service Providers:
To create a healthier hospital environment, on June 1, 2009 both London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St. Joseph's Health Care, London (St. Joseph's) will be implementing a designated smoking area policy.
This policy states smoking will not be permitted anywhere on properties owned by LHSC and St. Joseph's except in the designated smoking areas. To clarify, smoking will no longer be allowed beyond 9 meters from entrances, in parking lots, on roadways, etc.

Please share this information with your employees, to ensure they're aware that as of June 1 smoking will only be permitted in designated smoking areas. Thank you for helping us to create a healthier environment for our patients, visitors and staff members.
